In short: Get real. I have practiced the art of complicating it for myself all too long. Enough with that. What has been, and what to become, is only one way to relate to: What was, is not now. And what to become, you do. Yes. Do! IN PROCESS … is to boil down to one-and-one-only to solve the very hard equation to “find your element”, where I unify making a living that harmonizes with what’s important for me (to which you can read in my About Page), at the same time doing stuff that I have space and ability…

I haven’t heard it. But I just saw a testimonial on the site, http://musicforcats.com: “I work at an emergency veterinary hospital. Today we had a patient in incredible pain. He was on as much pain medication as we could give him, but he just couldn’t get comfortable. I put on Rusty’s Ballad for him on repeat, and he’s currently sleeping. Thank you so much for what you’ve created!” Backed by science, this project will be in my interest and subject for deeper studies in my research! Anyone heard and used it?
I can deeply relate to this. I have had moments in life with actual and percieved loneliness. Where I only had me to be there for me. But I had one thing – music. This insight, makes meaning. And meaning is the thing that moves moments passing by from just being content in life, to something deeper. Something beyond. I am in process to take care of insights in more structured manners. Help me share a vision where I end up doing formal research with the Main Artist on Stage in my show to set up – Music For Health….
Coming so far in the challenge, so good! From my own deeper personal experiences shared in confidence yesterday, this stream of writing, imaging and sounds relates to what comes directly from the communities I thrive and live by, with and in. The flow of everydayness, where the focus and filtering is kept to prioritize environments and events to enrich my understanding of what music does for health. But how to define community? And what are the boundaries of a community? Hard to define, but I would say – community belonging marks a common interest, practice or denominator of some kind….
Been working on the editorial intentions, on its way to outline an editorial calendar for the #blog101 challenge. 101 featured postings in between the period of Sept 1-Dec 31. All content related to #Music4Health theme, with varying focuses.
Handbook of Music and Emotion. A cornerstone for further explorative searches, on what to deliver and get leverage with in my creative writing process on Music For Health, beginning 1st of September, 2016. I have identified two focuses, to which I still need to narrow down and write synopsis on, respectively. Both have been tested in the ‘How’ aspect. Are they researchable? The answer is a sounding Yes! So – level up, we will! Now, leaving the University Library across the street, and returning home. Work Trial, this is. But, not formalized, yet. Emergence! Done! Soon!

I wish I can get a research position at Tema Q at Linköpings University. It is a cross/trans/multidisciplinary research institution focusing culture and societal change and development. I hope I can take my documented skills in researching innovation and entrepreneurship related to sustainability and put it into context of music for health. How to deploy insights from where we know music benefits health, in practice? How to creatively organize in order to make music do good for health? I see the target now. Now, the only way is up. Now, this is my ‘escalator pitch’. Now, do!
I was by the finding of the moment stumbling upon a music cassette in the collections of my mother-in-law. Ralph Lundsten, Mindscape Music. Ralph has made music that has been used as treatment in psychiatric wards in the UK. I will let the full story evolve regards Mindscape Music when I’ve heard this piece of music and researching its history. And this is exactly my wish. That I can get room, space, energy, health and place to find my little corner of the Big Verse named Music For Health, to research! Then I can dig deeper, in e. g. the…
