In all respect to the virtual worlds of the immaterial part of the “social web” – there is something special with the “physical meeting”, one to one, one to a few, few to a few, or many among many. I arrange a lot of events, and I am also parts of the “stage”, besides the arranger. Through the years, many types of events have been passed – as guest, as “artist” (the DJ or the Speaker), as event blogger with the blogger’s pass, from the “minimalistic” to the “big”.

What can be when the flows are right – is the experience of “magic”.

In the title of the category, you hear it. The neologism of unifying the “epic” with the “magic”.

If we turn to the roots of the words, through the companion “etymonline”, we find:

epic (adj.)1580s, perhaps via M.Fr. épique or directly from L. epicus, from Gk. epikos, from epos “word, story, poem,” from PIE *wekw- “to speak” (see voice). Extended sense of “grand, heroic” first recorded in English 1731. The noun meaning “an epic poem” is first recorded 1706.

So – with the natural force of co-creating spirits flown together in one place, there you have the material of “stories to be told”. The Epic and Magic Event. Epimagic :). The concept is derived from what kicked this year off – a New Year’s Party which I co-arranged and also DJ:ed at.
